My name is Jia Wei Yan. I'm 16 years old, and I am from Taichung.I major in Nursing at Jenteh Junior College of Medicine and Management.
My father is a school worker, and my mother, who comes from Vietnam, is a cement worker. I am proud that I have a big family, including 16 people in total. I never feel lonely with all my cousins. For example, one of my cousins is now studying occupational therapy at Shu-Zen Junior College. She is my idol and she always helps me not only in studies but also in life. She is excellent in her academic performance at school and I want to be as good as she is.
I like sports. I used to join the school hockey team and dodgeball team when I was in elementary school. I was also a teacher assistant in Geography class when I was in junior high school. At present, I am the class leader in my class.
When I moved to the school dormitory at the beginning of the semester, I was a little upset because it’s the first time I left home. Now I am getting used to the new environment. I know, there might be many difficulties in the future, but I am confident that I can overcome all of them for sure. My goal is to get my certificate as a registered nurse.
